I decided to start my week off right, doing something to remind me what makes me most passionate about my craft. A little street art was the cure for a creative block and I've been working furiously to get ready for several up coming events in May.
I will be participating in the Brady District First Friday Art Walk in May. Several local artist have been given the assignment of doing a portrait in the medium of their choosing of another local artist. Fifteen attempts into my portrait, I realized how long it had been since I had spent any serious time doing portraits but the rust is coming off and I think I will have something beautiful to show.
Enjoying the great cycling weather and building a sweet ride for somebody's lady.
As a side project RedBeard Studios (me) and 17 year old brother have stripped down this old vista shadow and are rebuilding it. Planning on finding an appreciative home for it when the restoration is complete.
We will be offering some children's art workshops in June and July. The workshops will meet twice a week for three weeks and take the children through the entire process of turning raw canvas into a stretched finished painting of their own. We are also working on setting up some adult workshops and private classes. For more information feel free to email me at Redbeardstudiosllc@gmail.com
Hope to see you in May!
